So very much this. 169s just did so well this cycle, especially when it came to scholarships. It had to mean the 170 wall was falling.
When UVA WL then accepted 169s with substantial money and Penn WL then rejected the 169s I figured UVA lost the 170 and Penn somehow managed to keep it.

UVA is significant to me mainly because of how much money they were throwing around last cycle. That's an expensive 169.

It's not big news in sense of student quality, employment etc. I meant more that it's interesting to see a place like UVA slide slightly because their ED heavy strategy always yielded a 170.
