The use of the 20% down payment for a house is the bank has a secure asset that it can use as collateral even if the value is reduced by the market. Even if your house takes a hit in value, the bank can get their money back 100%.
Students loans are totally unsecured. Even if you put down 20% into tuition, that adds ZERO security to the loan.
Stupid idea.

Good and practical point. I didn't even think of that point. Why the hell are interest rates 7-8% when you can't discharge your loans. Makes no sense.
