Ugh...not fair. I hope that means mine will be up sometime early next week . . . along with my LSAT score and Yale's application.

Re: How long LSAC is currently taking to process letters?
I had one that my prof said he mailed Oct 14 and it posted thursday night (oct 20). It's a bit weird since my first LOR took close to a month (Sept 5 - 29) to get processed.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that they might higher temp workers in October to deal with the high volume, hence the shorter processing times. Hoping my last letter is as quick as everyone else has been saying!
Edit: Faxed letter, processed within 3 hours.

My last two letters showed up the day they arrived; guess I'm lucky.

I recently had two letters arrive there at 9:49 am on 10/28 and they were up the next morning.

Had one sent out Sunday evening, hasn't gotten there yet. Hopefully it'll happen later today/tomorrow...

I mailed in my first two letters and they both took about a week. I faxed the third in, and it was processed either the same or next day.

Re: How long LSAC is currently taking to process letters?
Is there a difference between when LSAC site says recommendation has been "received" and it being processed? Or once it's received, is that it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that once it shows up in your LSAC account that it's been processed.bos2clt wrote:Is there a difference between when LSAC site says recommendation has been "received" and it being processed? Or once it's received, is that it?

I got my email a few days after they were up on the site. I checked the site because I had been checking my delivery confirmation through USPS and knew that they had been delivered.thelawschoolproject wrote:I discovered mine were processed by checking LSAC . . .but I never received an email.

which one works better, fax or mail? It will take roughly a week from Japan to America.
But earlier in the thread, someone was talking about "dont trust machines"...
any suggestion?

Would it be smart to have the professor mail the LOR after faxing it to LSAC, just in case the fax is too blurry to read?

Re: How long LSAC is currently taking to process letters?
iirc, that post was talking about a professor who didn't trust machines and wouldn't fax the letter. if you have the option, i'd fax it. my lor that was faxed was processed the same day, while i'm still waiting on a letter that was mailed monday to be processed. so in the interest of speed, faxing is the way to go, especially if you're mailing it from japan.rachelwang712 wrote:which one works better, fax or mail? Re: How long LSAC is currently taking to process letters?
I had a letter sent in 2 weeks ago that still hasn't processed. Called today and they quoted delivery time + 2 weeks. Yet some peoples' letters are being processed in a few days? Hmmmm...

Ah darn, I thought my 2nd LOR was sent on Sunday or Monday, turns out the person is mailing it tomorrow morning. Sigh. Hopefully it gets in the 'fast' pile and gets processed by Tuesday or Wednesday. At least I'm in PA so it'll get there really quickly...

Re: How long LSAC is currently taking to process letters?
FWIW, my last letter of rec was mailed Friday morning from central PA and showed up on the LSAC website about half an hour ago. Didn't get an email from LSAC, but it's showing up on a few status checkers too so everything is good.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
