So far, in at W&L, UIUC, and GW (wasn't really expecting to get in there, to be honest).

Re: Reverse Splitters Unite
Just checking in. I've stalked TLS forums forever, but never posted. I prefer not to list my numbers, but I can assure you I'm an extreme reverse splitter. Non-URM. In at Tulane, W&L, George Mason, and Chicago-Kent. Applied ED at GW but was WL'd. Still have a couple to hear back from, but I'd ideally like to end up in the DC or NOVA area.

167/3.97 .... but also applied late in the cycle, so I'm still playing the waiting game for most schools. Also, congrats to all my fellow reverse splitters who have been hearing good news from great schools!

Retook LSAT. No longer reverse splitter. Doesn't matter as I'm in UVA with the first score anyway. Best of luck frendz!

Checking in:
3.9 UGPA; 3.83 LSDAS
156 LSAT (Retaking in Feb)
I've read that traditional splitters are more numerous than reverse splitters. I find that perplexing, since GPA seems much easier to influence than LSAT scores. Not many aspiring law school candidates have a knack for logic games, but almost any candidate can crank out A's if they put in the effort.
Or am I wrong?

Re: Reverse Splitters Unite
I think in reality reverse splitters are more common than traditional splitters, although that may not seem to be the case in top law schools, since a minimum LSAT is almost required to get into the T14.bombasty wrote:Checking in:

Re: Reverse Splitters Unite
You all know I'm a reverse splitter. 155/4.0. For my target school I'm at like the 99th percentile for GPA but around the 20th percentile for LSAT. I'm hoping for admission but, having applied in January I'm super late. Hey, that's what you get with a December LSAT, right?

Yeah, I think my softs were very "special":) or unique. I am a non-traditional student with interesting life and work experience. Also, I let couple of lawyer friends of mine proofread my PS and they thought it was great:) I tried tailoring my PS for each school when possible. Overall, I felt really good about my application except my LSAT score. If I had the TIME and money I would have loved to improve my score because it really is the biggest deciding factor. However, I am glad that these schools were able to see beyond my pitiful LSAT score. Interestingly, Berkeley has been my only rejection.

Re: Reverse Splitters Unite
Well big congrats! I am a terrible reverse splitter- 155/4.XX- but I guess my life story is not all that interesting. I am an immigrant and a first generation college student with decent work experience in UG but I guess that is not very unique for a NYC person.lol. Where do you think you will be heading?armstrot wrote:Yeah, I think my softs were very "special":) or unique. I am a non-traditional student with interesting life and work experience. Those are great numbers. You're headed the same place I am. So there's no need to worry.Kess wrote: Well big congrats! Re: Reverse Splitters Unite
Update:
3.78/155/Kinda URM
Out: Boalt, NYU (applied for shits and giggles)
In: American, USD ($), Loyola LA ($$) and selected as one of their Public Interest Scholars.
Still waiting on: Hastings, USC, UCLA (again, shits and giggles). Think I'm leaning heavily toward LLS.
Hope everyone else's cycles are going well! I'll probably withdraw from USD and American soon so hopefully that frees up a spot for those on the WL.

how do w/l treat reverse splitters typically?
I am a reverse splitter with a much lower lsat, but I am not looking for T14 by any means!
