You should not send the above website to the admissions office. In fact, you should just take it down (or at least take your real name off it for now) unless you want to just become a passing meme.

There are two major problems with that site:

1) It is not designed well or impressive in any way. That is something someone could make after a day or two with a website designer's how-to book. How will that make you stand out? If admissions officers begrudgingly go to your site at all, it will hurt you badly if they aren't wowed. They won't be wowed by this; they will be disappointed.

2) The text you've inserted in the site is extremely self-effacing and cloying. It just reads as: I know I'm not as good as your other applicants, but I made a mediocre website, so can you please, please, pleaseeeeee let me in? If you're going this route, the content needs to be a tour de force of why you deserve to be at Gtown. This type of writing would hurt you in any format.

Not flaming you. I think you can see from my post history that I only post very sparingly and only when I think I can be constructive. Don't send that website.

Don't send this. Just send in a standard letter (by email) expressing your interest e.t.c. Sending in this website, is going to have a negative effect.

OP, you're going about this the wrong way... what I would suggest is waiting until you've been dinged, and THEN create the website/collection of crotch shots which you'll forward to the school's admissions committee while also posting the link in the Ding Bar. That's the correct sequence of events here.

It was posted for a bit over an hour. It wasn't super lulzy bad or anything, but it wasn't good and it included his real name. He definitely made the right call in reconsidering and taking it down before the East Coast people got their morning coffee and TLS, though. We can let this thread die in peace knowing that TLS saved him from making a mistake with his LOCI without even having had to make him into a target for ridicule or whatnot. (Though, obviously, those who would have had a 100+ page field day trying to turn him into a meme will be disappointed.)
