speaking of which, I've been wondering whether there are published stats on how different groups score on the lsat. do men or women score better? do certain races score better when adjusted for education?

interestingly, men and women do almost identically except on the reading comp where men do a drop better. I wonder if they try to manipulate it so its more or less the same for both genders.

TLS is putting me on edge... in the last two days I have read threads saying you can spontaneously network your way into a job by just having a good personality, minorities shouldnt write diversity statements because their applications make it clear they are minorities, Akron Law is competitive with Case and a post where someone said their gpa from John Carroll Univ. would get a special treatment because JCU is ranked 7th in the midwest...

let me clarify. i used the word racist in the topic only because i wanted it to be catchy. my point was only that there is a whole controversy out there about whether we should cater to people to whom english is not a first language. for example, the gubernatorial candidate from alabama who put an ad out saying it's america and we speak english and we're not gonna go out of our way for you, rather you're expected to learn english. the liberals are of the opinion that we should cater to all languages. thats why many phone systems say press 1 for english. overall, this is a very touchy subject. i found it interesting that the field of law, without expressly saying it, has sided with the bureaucrat from alabama. no one finds that interesting??
in my opinion, any logical person will realize my point is not racist or bigoted but rather a point that makes sense. i'm sorry if i was not clear in my original post
