Re: Is a future president posting on TLS?
BTW,, hookem horns you think you have a realistic path to the presidency?
Have you gotten over the fact that your team is a joke and only is decent because it plays in a weak conference? Sorry you couldn't play with the big boys.

You know, we kept up with Alabama and almost completed a comeback despite having a totally inexperienced freshman at QB. Your win is not something you should be bragging about so much.letsrun wrote:Have you gotten over the fact that your team is a joke and only is decent because it plays in a weak conference? Re: Is a future president posting on TLS?
Sorry people, none of you are going to be a president in the future. You wish. The percentage of law school applicants that post/lurk on TLS is miniscule, and percentage of law school graduates that become political candidates is miniscule. And don't give me some crap about a disproportionate number of top students being on TLS.

Okay, so, we won't point out the obvious truth to you, since you seem to already know it.T14_Scholly wrote:Sorry people, none of you are going to be a president in the future. You wish. You're pretty talented at being a clueless idiot. Keep up the good work.

Re: Is a future president posting on TLS?
I think you're missing the whole point of Ken's post... which is not that a president will come for our ranks, but that some of us are destined for some great things. That's at least something you can get behind, no?T14_Scholly wrote:Sorry people, none of you are going to be a president in the future. You wish. Re: Is a future president posting on TLS?
I'm truly surprised that with all these collective, bright, critical-thinking minds.... not a single TLS'er responded to this thread with a "I hope not!"
Doesn't anyone else have an alternate conception relative to the propagated norm of what the president's role actually is and the abyss-like compromises one would have to make to even be considered (tapped) for the role?
I would hope a greater figure emerges from these boards....
In this globalized, corporate-run society, the people who get the chance to be presidents aren't quite the humanists, civil-rights leaders, etc.
If even recent history matters, the track-record of politicians isn't what I'd think TLS would like to endorse. I just hope most people here will go on and do their part to improve our country as well as the integrity of all it's systems through the system of law.

Amazing. Even the guy who made the website is a Troll.Ken wrote:Dear TLS members,
I think there is an over 50% chance that at some point a future president will have been a member of TLS (or at least lurked). I am very proud of the brilliance of our members (for example, of the 8 TLS interns writing content 3 of them have 180 LSAT scores) and know that many of you will go on to achieve great things and several of you will enter politics. I anticipate that Obama would have been a TLS member while applying to Harvard and I look forward to seeing what amazing accomplishments our TLS members will achieve in the future.
I am proud to be part of such a brilliant community and a lot of new content is being added in 2010 to make TLS worthy of such bright members and visitors.
