So for hidden fee waivers, do you find out at the time of checkout? Or can you tell if you have a waiver when you begin your application?

You have to proceed to the checkout.

After I preview the NYU application and hit continue, I come to a page that asks me to check off a "certification" box. Specifically, it reads "By checking this box, I acknowledge that I have proofread my application and that all information I am about to send to LSAC for transmission to the law school is true and accurate, and that I agree to the certification language stated on the signature portion of the law school application. LSAC is authorized to transmit this law school application." The page also says under payment method, "The $75 fee will be added to your Shopping Cart."

If I click continue on this page, is there another one that indicates if I have a hidden fee waiver or not? Or is this the page that indicates that I don't?

Is anyone having a problem with their Cornell fee waiver? I wanted to submit tonight but I guess not because its not showing up on LSAC and it keeps adding the fee to my cart

Read the details of your letter. It's not an electronic fee waiver. You have to send that actual paper to Cornell. Yeah, it's pretty lame. One of the reasons why I won't be applying now...

After complaining about the rising tally of app fees I'm accumulating, I got Michigan fee waiver via snail mail today with a nice little note at the end. Now if I could just get 14 more...

Is anyone else annoyed that when they email a school requesting a fee waiver and the school tells them they don't offer merit based fee waivers only to come to this thread and see the school recently sent out a wave of merit based fee waivers?

I e-mailed Vandy telling them I had a fee waiver from last cycle. They told me it was only valid that one cycle and they're not going to send me a renewal. I was debating on UCLA or Vandy as a safety. I guess this just made up my mind for me.

Are you sure that you don't have a hidden Vandy fee waiver?? Because I just found one and you have better numbers.

Yes, it's possible, but you have to ask the school. Just send a straightforward e-mail explaining your situation (search the forum, and you'll find examples) to each law school, and they should get back to you.

FWIW, UVA, Michigan, Georgetown, and UCLA all said yes when I asked. Cornell sent me an e-mail saying I should wait for the next round of waivers to come out. I have yet to hear back from Northwestern, Chicago and Penn.

I just recieved viewbook/letter from Cornell but no fee waiver . It reads:

"Your 'numbers' look promising enough that we'd like the opportunity to consider a full application."

And yet no waiver to encourage that full application... grr. I guess I can't ask for more with my current numbers. Come on September LSAT!

UGA here too. Is this just all for yield protection purposes? They denied me last time and now are saying I can apply again, this time for free. Not sure if I want to play that game, if that's what this is.
