Emory hired 20% of their class, it really helps them stay ahead of about 2 schools I think.

Emory was one of the few top tier schools that did not see an uptick in employment placement last year. It's still a great school, but I question its top 20 ranking. The numbers just don't seem to back it up.

Wonderful. You have all figured out why the TLS mantra is that the rankings don't actually matter. Thank you for all of the wonderful insight.

Illinois at 41? How?
The numbers just don't back that up at all.

Looks Like Campos was right on Irvine not Chemerinsky. Campos said Irvine was basically Davis, hastings while Dean Chem was aiming top 20(UCLA/USC). Good for Campos.

Lot of confusing cross-talk in the library lobby right now about NCAAM rankings.

Not as catchy as MVP but BVD is a recognizable brand name (catchy enough), plus there is no way to include M within a top ten reference.

Ha! Columbia is a #1 seed in their bracket! And Yale. And Harvard. Chicago slips to 2 seed because they don't have a team.table3 wrote:Lot of confusing cross-talk in the library lobby right now about NCAAM rankings.

Why does the TLS wisdom seem to be that Michigan was due for a drop and that it's been hurting since 08? I've seen it ITT and a few other places.
Not that it matters in the scheme of things, but I'm curious as to what signs people were seeing.

Higher unemployment relative to the rest of the T14.RustyRyan wrote:Why does the TLS wisdom seem to be that Michigan was due for a drop and that it's been hurting since 08? I've seen it ITT and a few other places.

Unrelated, I don't understand the Davis jump. It just seems like a weaker program based on employment.

Come on mate, it wouldn't be the USNWR if it were based on things like numbers and employmentbl1nds1ght wrote:Higher unemployment relative to the rest of the T14.RustyRyan wrote:Why does the TLS wisdom seem to be that Michigan was due for a drop and that it's been hurting since 08?
