I think it might save valuable characters to just title that section "Law"ClemCarter wrote:Do you think boys get one with a special "men in law" section?emtuoh wrote:Just got a 2nd identical e-mail about a fee waiver from Illinois.

What was the way last year? I can't really see a way to do it without going through the application process. (I guess you could try to submit the app without filling out the primary and then just remove it from your cart if you don't have a waiver, but the primary doesn't like you to save it without filling out all required information, so LSAC might not let you attempt to submit an incomplete form either. I don't know.)Helmholtz wrote:Is there an easy way to check for fee waivers like there was last year?BaiAilian2013 wrote:I just discovered a secret NYU waiver upon checkout. Yay!

Last year you could just not attach any documents, and proceed right to the checkout, where you can see if you had a fee waiver or not. It was very easy to do and maybe took 20 seconds for each school, without actually having your PS attached or your app filled out.BaiAilian2013 wrote:What was the way last year? Aw man. I just tried that and got a dialog box that says, "You have NOT completed the application" and then instructs me to go back and fill out the primary. Goddammit. I guess surprise fee waivers will just have to be surprises.Helmholtz wrote:Last year you could just not attach any documents, and proceed right to the checkout, where you can see if you had a fee waiver or not. I can't read "You have NOT completed the application" in my head without hearing serious attitude.

You can do it without actually completing your application, just go in and fill out the required sections like have you ever been on academic probation etc.
I just checked and I have the NYU one as well

I'm nervous...I click submit and it takes me to the page where I can hit continue after previewing my application, but I was afraid it might submit it, as everything required is done (just waiting for my 3rd rec to post).
After you hit continue, is that where you see if you have a fee waiver?

Yea, if you have one it will say fee waived by CRS. If you don't have one, it will ask you if its ok to pay the application fee. So don't worry there's still another "continue" button before actually submitting.Pearalegal wrote:I'm nervous...I click submit and it takes me to the page where I can hit continue after previewing my application, but I was afraid it might submit it, as everything required is done (just waiting for my 3rd rec to post).

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
Alright, someone take pity on me, and please don't laugh.
I haven't gotten any fee waivers, but I know my numbers are higher than some who have gotten them form Cornell and the like, and at the same exact level of others.
I mean, I didn't even get one from Maryland, my home state. My LSAT is way higher than their 75%.
Wha--whats going on?

Is it possible your law school mail is getting sent to an old address, or your parents' address, or something? Several of the waivers (including Cornell) came by snail mail for me.

Maybe! My mom lives in LA for the most part, and my Dad lives in Canada Mon-Thurs, but I still use the house they keep in Maryland as my permanent address.BaiAilian2013 wrote:Is it possible your law school mail is getting sent to an old address, or your parents' address, or something? It's really aggravating that some schools aren't even replying to my request to renew last year's app fee waivers. Michigan and UVA got back to me within literally five minutes after my e-mail was sent.

I've always had really good experience with the Michigan admissions office. It definitely makes their school look good.FuriousE wrote:same with me, those two responded immediately and others just brushed it off i guessHelmholtz wrote:It's really aggravating that some schools aren't even replying to my request to renew last year's app fee waivers.
