God - is it too soon to ask Michigan? Would I just annoy Dean Z. as she's busy wading through the waitlist?

I thought Illinois was waiving its app fees for this cycle?

They are. This is silly, everyone's fee is waived for class of 2014.ZachOda wrote:I thought Illinois was waiving its app fees for this cycle?

Well this will certainly bring their acceptance % down, since everyone and their mother will be applying. I'm guessing this is the plan.JakeL wrote:They are. This is silly, everyone's fee is waived for class of 2014.ZachOda wrote:I thought Illinois was waiving its app fees for this cycle?

Hahahaha. Being somewhat new to the board, I may not have the authority to say this, but +1.Ildeuce wrote:I don't think the big man up top responds to TLS posts.afcanoe wrote:God - is it too soon to ask Michigan? Would I just annoy Dean Z. as she's busy wading through the waitlist?

161, 3.16 (NC Resident). Sent out a few requests and thought I'd share the answers with everyone.
Asked and received the following: Villanova, and Colorado(have to write them back to receive the code on 1 SEP).
UNC Chapel Hill stated they only do financial hardship, Florida can't waive the fee, "In addition, the $30 application fee is a State of Florida charge and cannot be waived by UF Law."
Denver: "No fee waivers granted until policy has been set in September".
So, ask away. The worst thing that could happen is they say no, or check back later, or are you serious? You think we'd grant YOU a fee waiver.

Thank you. That's enough to keep me from pressing send until I've heard that they've started to dole them out...dabbadon8 wrote:It was when I emailed them a week or so ago.afcanoe wrote:Seriously, though - is it too soon to ask Michigan?

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
you got one from Co?? I was considering asking them for one (for now Ive only asked schools in my safety/ lower target area). Denver said to email back by the end of August so yeah, around early Sept sounds like a good time. I was a little put off by it though. Same response from UNC (I knew about the UF / FSU $30 app thing,... they won't budge... but you can get them from private schools in FL like Miami and Stetson)Peekay80 wrote:161, 3.16 (NC Resident). Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
You took the LSAT last cycle. LSAC told me to sign up for a forum so that my account shows up because law schools only search for accounts with "recent activity" when they do their CRS searches. After doing this I still havent received any mailings but I'm not sure if schools have done a new set of CRS searches recently. I really want a PT invite from Duke so I am hoping this works.thecilent wrote:I have gotten not one fee waiver yet for this cycle.Ildeuce wrote:I haven't gotten a waiver in I dunno how long. Oh well.

SMU said they do need based rather than merit based... which means idk if I'll be applying there because its 70$ and my chances are mediocre and I've never been to Texasssss
