Lower medians = lower admission standards. This should get you excited and motivate youRigo wrote:Should be encouraging if anything.admitmenowplzkthxbai wrote:Ugh this entire thread is going to give me a coronary. *prays to October LSAT gods*

The incoming class size? According to LST, last year's class was just abnormally small compared to the past 5 years.Huskies13! wrote:Santa Clara up:

How can a law school seriously have a 146 MEDIAN!? Either these people just didn't care about the LSAT, or they are genuinely stupid. How are they going to pass the bar?urbanist11 wrote:Here's one I'm sure people have been anxious to see

Kind of shocking they only lost 2 on the LSAT median with that class size increase.Huskies13! wrote:Santa Clara up:

I've heard that Santa Clara places unbelievably well in the Silicon Valley - almost as well as USC or UCLA. is this true?

They place ok for people with technical backgrounds, which means if you don't have a technical background it's even worse.

Hmm..interesting.
I heard this from a friend who practices in the SF area. He basically said that Santa Clara has an inexplicably strong reputation in the Silicon Valley, but virtually no credibility anywhere else.

Do law schools run the risk of losing ABA accreditation if they don't maintain a certain bar passage rate? And how do schools like Charleston manage to get even half of their students to pass?

Re: CLASS OF 2018 MEDIANS! (LSAT/GPA/Class Size)
It may have a good reputation but that unfortunately doesn't translate to its placement. That may have been why your friend used the word "inexplicable." You see that with a lot of schools that have solid undergrad reputations but don't place well. I'm from San Diego and USD is seen the same way; the law placement is terrible but if you tell anyone you're going there people from the area will think you're brilliant.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
