Got an email from Florida Coastal that said I can apply free of charge. It also offered me a "potential $30,000 scholarship" to attend.

mine didn't specify the amount, but noted that I could be "potentially receiving a scholarship" (currently 27 pts above their LSAT median); thanks florida coastal!pulstar1 wrote:Got an email from Florida Coastal that said I can apply free of charge. Nice, successfully solicited a waiver from a school that others in this thread have as well. Thanks again for the help, all. Is it customary to reply with a one line thank you note, or no need?

I think most people will say no need because it just clogs up their inbox.

But it does seem weird not to say thank you!

Agreed, I had both of those thoughts. Don't want to be impolite but don't want to send them an unnecessary email either.

I did out of habit, but it's not a make or break situation. Good job on the waivers!

My favorite email from a crap school today was U of Oregon that was titled 'Oregon Law in Alaska' which announced that the U of Oregon would be attending an LSAC event in SoCal. Okeeeyyyysmccgrey wrote:Got a bunch more TTT waivers....

Re: 2014-2015 Fee Waivers
Former Americorps alum here. Soliciting waivers on that basis (no lsat score yet).
A few of the T-14 schools had slightly ambiguous policies.
Solicited
NYU (Pending, ambiguous policy)
UVa (Received, ambiguous policy for alums)
Penn (Pending, unambiguous)
I'll probably do the rest of the top 14 that allow for waivers of some kind on the basis of at least Teach For America/Peacecorps. Curious to see if a school like Cornell and NYU that waive for other non-Americorps programs will waive for Americorps too.
