I pulled it from my post and put your link instead.MikeSpivey wrote:
Also, once I blogged in one place I figured It would be copied and pasted so it's all good. I didn't want an aggregated list of rankings for a few reasons but made the decision it was worth it.

It's all good. Thanks for following though!Hrun wrote:Agreed. UT missing the T14 is very disappointing. Silent rant.
Interesting that on the day Emory jumped 4 points, ATL published a scathing article about Emory gouging its grads with a ridiculously high $194 cap and gown rental fee.

How are schools ordered in case of a tie?
Like, why is Columbia the first #4?

A tie is treated as if they're both 4. So anyone with C or C ranked 5 will be losing 2 points (off by 1 and double for T14). At least that's how I understand it.riverwater wrote:How are schools ordered in case of a tie?

Edit: was thinking about the contest and have no idea how they're ordered within the tie. Sorry about that!

False. As should be clear to anyone with even a passing familiarity with our alphabet, "Ch" comes before "Co".neprep wrote:It's alphabetical.riverwater wrote:How are schools ordered in case of a tie?

The truth is that USNWR publishes even more granular rankings that it distributes only to insiders. We can see from the data that Columbia is slightly (but noticeably) above Chicago, while Duke is above Michigan. In other words, the "insider" rankings look as follows:
1. Yale
2. Harvard
3. Stanford
4. Columbia
5. Chicago
6. NYU
7. Penn
8. UVA
9. Boalt
10. Duke
11. Michigan

With GULC and Cornell tying, is it now the T13?

Re: 2015 USNWR T25 Pred. Cont. (LEEKS)
Good question. I'm looking at the actual assigned point values, and the spread between Cornell and USC is minuscule. We're basically talking about statistical noise here. For all intents and purposes, we're in a T22 world now.goldenboy514 wrote:With GULC and Cornell tying, is it now the T13?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
