If you look at who actually clicked "Attending" for 2010-11, it's a different picture: http://illinois.lawschoolnumbers.com/applicants/1011/

Yah, good post, if you take the median of the 13 who clicked "Attending," you get 164.

LSAT median was steady at 163.
GPA median was up .04 to 3.67.
Class size was trimmed by just 4 seats; not significant.
Looks like one thing they did to preserve medians was take more people from out of state; the in-state percentage declined from 62% to 57%.
Illinois and Wisconsin have essentially the same numbers.

Also, you probably do need a 168+ if you aren't in the immediate family of a major political donor.

When they did the rundown at orientation today on this class there was no mention of our new medians or 25ths/75ths. Just the usual feel-good stuff.

Chicago came to my school for recruiting day:

LSAT:
75th/25th: 173/167
Median: 171

GPA:
75th/25th: 3.94/3.71
Median 3.87

Looks like the Ruby helped get that GPA median up to absurd levels.

Interesting it didn't effect their LSAT (with even a drop in the 25%ile; happy day)

Meh. The GPA movement is great but the LSAT numbers are pretty pathetic.

That's a .09 increase in UChicago's median GPA .

Granted their entering class size dropped from 205 to 191 (almost a 7% decrease).

Regardless of the class size drop, that's still a HUGE increase.

Don't they match Stanford's LSAT breakdown pretty closely?

Yeah, but Stanford is a special snowflake.

I just saw this. Holy shit, those GPA numbers are insane. Chicago's 25th percentile GPA = Columbia's median GPA.

Is this something to worry about for those of us who were already below Chicago's GPA median? I'm now just above their 25th.

I think it is amazing that Chicago pulled the GPA number because they pull so many low-GPAers from their undergrad. If you inflated the 10-20 they take from UChicago to a normal level, the GPA would probably be up another .05.
