For those with Cornell fee waivers, anyone take the February LSAT?

That was the response I received when I asked them about their CRS roster....if your last LSAT score was February 2011, your name will not appear on our rosters for the fall 2012 application cycle.

got a cornell viewbook with no waiver or letter... going back to check the envelope.
ETA: damn. Letter encouraging me to apply, but it doesn't look like a fee waiver. Why do you taunt me, Cornell?

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
So I just now realized that I had missed hitting "Release my information to LSAC-member law schools" under my CRS preferences before the June test but fixed it today. Will I still be able to get fee wavers for my June score or do schools send them all out in one bunch? I'm signing up to retake in October tomorrow anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

If you missed out on Michigan and have high LSAT/GPA, just email admissions in September to ask for one.80eight wrote:I wonder why I missed out on Michigan.

Michigan has multiple waves.... they continue sending snail mail waivers throughout September and even October.

Also got a Michigan fee waiver, and I took the test in February.
I also got viewbooks from Texas and Cornell, but unless I overlooked it, no fee waiver from either. I got the Cornell one early last week, though, so I wonder if they were just sending the new version because I requested one a few weeks back.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
Email response from Duke:
We issue fee waivers and Priority Track invitations through periodic searches of the LSAC's Candidate Referral Service. To be sure that you are in the pool that we are searching, please make sure your CRS account is active, that your intended enrollment year is set to 2012, and that you have (preferably) an LSAC-calculated or at least a self-reported GPA. We should be conducting another search in the next few weeks.

I have to call my dad and see if that came, or Cornell. Stupid not having my current address in my CRS bio.Hawkeye Pierce wrote:Just got my Michigan fee waiver (+ viewbook) as well!

Are any of the people who got Cornell/Mich from the West Coast?

Anyone know if schools provide fee waivers for active duty military? The only one I've heard of is William and Mary...

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
Can some one tell me if the changed CRS 'expected law school enrollment' is the same as updating the CAS.
I'm not receiving any fee waivers and I took the LSAT a couple of years ago. How do I let them know I am applying?
Thanks

I believe that's what they mean but unfortunately it doesn't look like it works for some schools.Angrygeopolitically wrote:Can some one tell me if the changed CRS 'expected law school enrollment' is the same as updating the CAS.

I'm in the sort of the same situation as you are (my last LSAT was before June '11). I tried emailing to solicit from the schools that, according to TLS, have been giving waivers to applicants with similar LSAT/GPA as I do and have had different responses (~50% of them have offered me a waiver, ~30% tell me to just wait for CRS waivers and ~20% just flat out ignore the email). Looks like us early takers are going to have to cough up a little more money to apply for the same schools.
Edit: I've tried calling 2 or 3 schools and they said that it's easier on them if I emailed them my numbers and LSAC #. I would imagine this is the case for a majority of them out there.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
i got a viewbook this morning with a letter, but i don't remember it mentioning a fee waiver, only an invitation to apply. why would they send such a nice, glossy viewbook with a letter but no fee waiver? can someone who got the fee waiver please clarify for the rest of us what the fee waiver wording was like on the letter? thanks.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
anyone how to request fee waivers (without contacting each school individually) if you're re-applying? I took the october 2010 LSAT so while I got a bunch back then I haven't gotten any recently even though I updated my CAS to 2011.
