Does that CRS response from NYU mean "no"? Just got that too.
they're basically just saying that they don't give out fee waivers on request. so you could still get one through CRS even after getting that response (and many people have)

sneakyleo wrote:FYI regarding Northwestern, I'm pretty sure the link to request a fee waiver that was thrown out earlier in this thread was this one: https://apply.law.northwestern.edu/regi ... nfeewaiver

That one asks for financial info, why you're requesting a waiver, etc.

However, I recently noticed that on their "Apply" page, there is a purple button saying "JD fee waiver," which I remember seeing mention of in last year's thread, but it wasn't up last time I was on their website. That brings you to this shorter form, with no financial info required: https://apply.law.northwestern.edu/regi ... 4FeeWaiver

I filled out that form and got an email immediately saying they would send a waiver within a day or two. Got it within a few hours. It's good through 11/30.
tyft, you are awesome!!

Hey, I just updated my matriculation date to 2015 today, so I missed NYU, Penn, and Cornell's first round of fee waivers. Does anyone know when any of the T14 schools do their second sweep for candidates?

You were able to solicit Chicago cold? I got a fee waiver last year, but when I asked for one this time they sent me to a link on their fee waiver requirements (TFA, that kind of bs).

Is it just me, or is there a fairly glaring typo (in NU's "you'll get a code in a couple days" email) in the sentence that follows the mandate that candidates applications should be error free?

Until you receive the code, we ask that you take the time to draft a thoughtful, error-free application to Northwestern Law for the Fall 2015 entering class. If you chose to submit your application online before receiving the fee waiver code, you will be required to pay the $100 application fee, as well as, the $25 CAS report fee for Northwestern University School of Law.

Is that it? I took it to mean "if you have already applied"
I believe it is improper to say "a couple days." You should say "a couple of days."

Thank goodness I didn't preface the post telling others to write sans errors.
And now I will stop because I'm embarrased at gleefully spotting what now appears to be more of a timeline issue (the app isn't open--how could I have already chosen to submit) than a genuine mistake.

I successfully solicited a waiver with LSAT below median and GPA above median.

I went to a law school forum and mentioned that in my solicitation email. Perhaps that was favorable to them.

Anyone know anything about UT Austin? I got a fee waiver from them last year on 9/4 but haven't heard anything this year. It may be because I updated my mailing address so that it no longer shows up as being in Texas...

I got an unsolicited waiver from them a few weeks ago. I don't live in Texas either.

I tried soliciting but it didn't work. Haven't heard anything since.

I got a fee waiver unsolicited, not from Texas.

I'd shoot them an email mentioning that you received a waiver last year and see if they bite.
