2013-2014 Fee Waivers Rolling In Forum

I took the LSAT last year and got a bunch of fee waivers then but didn't apply. I'm applying this cycle and I'm not getting any. Is this normal?

I'm not sure that it's time to throw in the towel yet. I took the LSAT in February, and in April (!) received an email offering me a fee and application deadline waiver. I asked if that waiver would roll-over, and it unfortunately will not, but was told via email early yesterday evening that they "may be offering me another fee waiver for the current cycle." So here's hoping....

Was trying to do this but I don't think it can be done without having my LORs in since the pictorial guide says I need to have every section completed.

I thought this waiver was specific because my email explicitly IDs me as being a URM...

My impression is that it's just like regular decision, so you have up until deposit deadlines.

I think you just need the actual app at 100% for it to let you proceed to checkout. Did you try to checkout without the LORs assigned?

Oops sorry Lavitz; that's what I get for not reading carefully! My bad. I didn't receive an email from Cornell of any description, but if I had received a waiver-less one, I would've followed up with an email requesting one. Persistence is supposedly a virtue in the legal profession, after all! As is careful reading.

No problem. And you'll probably get one if they said that and gave you one previously.

You may also want to check for a hidden one since Cornell seems to be slow with batches of e-mails. I've received two separate invites to a BBQ event at orientation while some classmates haven't received one yet. But I'm sure we're all invited.

No. I got the same thing last cycle. It's accelerated ED. It means you didn't get selected for PT.

Not sure. Maybe they want some reverse splitters to ED and help their GPA median.
