I'm pretty sure UC Davis admits that the numbers on the school's website are for their ADMITTED class, not their MATRICULANT class.nickc8 wrote:Why are some of the 25th/75th percentile LSAT numbers lower than those reported on the actual law school's website? For example, UC Davis is listed as 158/163 on your page but UC Davis claims 161/166 on their website. Do some schools attempt to "fluff" their actual numbers?

That's what I get for doing law school research at work in between financials. Alright, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the info.YCrevolution wrote:Thanks JS.JSUVA2012 wrote:I'm pretty sure UC Davis admits that the numbers on the school's website are for their ADMITTED class, not their MATRICULANT class.nickc8 wrote:Why are some of the 25th/75th percentile LSAT numbers lower than those reported on the actual law school's website? Looking at this page, the table on the right-hand side of the page indicates that the LSAT and GPA percentiles are for "offers." It's seems like it's from the 2007-08 cycle, but it's hard to tell. The catalog for UC-Davis Law lists a nice table of LSATs and GPAs of applicants (and their admission rate).

Re: Law School Predictor Version 2.4 - now with Early Decision!
SMU is listed as one of the binding early decision schools. However, I don't see anywhere on their website/application where this option is available.

I'm almost positive that is not binding. Similar to Texas' "early decision", which also isn't binding, just a reference to getting your application in early.YCrevolution wrote:http://www.law.smu.edu/Default.aspx?DN= ... 21512c22d8 (scroll down) and http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key= ... utput=htmlBustang wrote:SMU is listed as one of the binding early decision schools. I'll try and verify that it's binding.

This is surely a stupid question, but where do I enable the ED option? I'm totally missing it.

Not positively, but according to an email that a fellow TLSer received last cycle, it is non-binding.
From http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&start=75 third post down"Thank you for your recent application to SMU Dedman School of Law. Since you have applied for the early decision deadline of December 1, 2008, provided your file is complete by December 15, 2008, a decision letter will be mailed no later than January 31, 2008. Early decisions are not binding. SMU policy does not allow decisions to be given out over the telephone or e-mail."

Hey, thank you for all the work you put into this site. Especially since you are already geared up to start law school and any advancements/improvements you are making are obliviously not for yourself.YCrevolution wrote:That's what I was looking for. Thanks!
I am a web programmer by day, so if you every need/want any help let me know.
Also, your site inspired to develop a machine learning version for my project for my AI course next semester. I figure a good test of the AI after feeding it all the data from LSN and other TLSers will be how good it predicts my own cycle.

Is the ED bump the same for all schools or do you assign it a different weight for each school?
Very cool by the way.

QUESTION:
Your site has an option for ED Wash U... but I can´t see anything on their website mentioning ED. Where did you find that they accept ED?
Thanks!

What was the boost % and how did you come up that particular number?YCrevolution wrote:Right now, it's the same % boost everywhere except GW (because their binding ED program involves a full scholarship). Over time (and with ED results from the upcoming cycle), I might fine-tune it to be more school-specific.buddyblack wrote:Is the ED bump the same for all schools or do you assign it a different weight for each school?
