Just got unsolicited from Notre Dame. Also got a fee waiver from Duke Law this morning with an invitation to apply to their special "Priority Track - Early Decision" program, which is binding. I thought that Duke's Priority Track was a non-binding process? Is the Priority Track - Early Decision different from their regular Priority Track? Anyone else get this email?

Just got unsolicited from Notre Dame. Also got a fee waiver from Duke Law this morning with an invitation to apply to their special "Priority Track - Early Decision" program, which is binding. I thought that Duke's Priority Track was a non-binding process? Is the Priority Track - Early Decision different from their regular Priority Track? Anyone else get this email?

Are you sure it said binding? Mine specifically stated non binding and that I was free to apply elsewhere.

I am sure it said binding. There is a whole paragraph talking about the fact that it is binding and that one should only apply for the PT - Early Decision option if one was sure Duke was their number one choice, and that a decision would be given 10 days after going complete if I were to register for it. But if accepted, I would need to drop all other applications.

The Priority Track program allows you to submit your application materials at any time prior to the February 15 deadline. Your application fee will be automatically waived when you submit your application through LSAC. Upon completion of your file, your application will receive an immediate comprehensive review and you will receive a response within ten days. This is a non-binding program; if you are admitted to Duke, you may freely consider offers of admission from other law schools.

Also I just got the Duke Fee Waiver email after having the hidden one for several days. It does mention the priority track - Binding decision in it. This must be priority track for those people who don't quite make the cut for the normal priority track.

Has anyone gotten a fee waiver from Emory unsolicited? I emailed them asking for one and they responded saying that they do not take requests for fee waivers. My numbers are awesome for Emory so whats up? Other people have said that they have emailed Emory and gotten one!

What the balls? I got an email from them yesterday saying that they sent out all of their merit-based fee waivers in November. By the numbers of people who have gotten in so far this year, im in with $. I wish they would have been more straight-forward with me instead of feeding me bs. Its my safety school, so i guess i have to pony up the money.

Got the BINDING Duke email as well. On my fantasy list, they were number 3 after Cornell and Stanford, so I guess I might as well take the shot.

Also got Illinois (which is already free!)
