I got the UVA waiver, even though im prob WL -> Ding.
I tried to solicit Gtown waiver and was denied even though my numbers are probably straight admit, or WL -> Admit. What gives?

Something along the lines of "we are denying your request, but we really hope you apply! Let us know if we can help you in anyway!"Humbert Humbert wrote:What'd they say?deputydog wrote:I got the UVA waiver, even though im prob WL -> Ding.

Exactly. It sucks when I've gotten waivers from higher ranked and peer schools. You think Gtown would be aggressive in trying to guard their medians by throwing out waivers, but I guess they know better.t-14orbust wrote:Rap translation: Fuck you pay medeputydog wrote:Something along the lines of "we are denying your request, but we really hope you apply! Solicited or unsolicited from the higher ranked? I'm about to start my solicitations in a few weeks, but I'm down to do some now if I know others got them.deputydog wrote:Exactly. I guess I exaggerated. So far just a yes from UVA and a no from Gtown. WUSTL, UCLA, and Vandy unsolicited. Everyone who responded to my solicitation said something like "it's dope you want to apply here, hang tight till after the first round of CRS. If you don't get one, holler back at us".cotiger wrote:Where did you get yeses from?deputydog wrote:Last week I got antsy and solicited a bunch. Ive gotten several yes' and only one no thus far. Just got a yes from soliciting UCLA. They got back to me like 10 minutes after I sent the email.

It appears that Northwestern will not be accepting solicited requests. They will, however, be offering free applications for those that apply early enough in the cycle.
Dear mojangles,
Thank you for your message and your interest in Northwestern Law. If you would like to obtain a merit-based application fee waiver, please check the Credential Referral Service (CRS) box when registering your LSAC account. This will allow you to be considered when our Admissions Office uses the service to award merit-based fee waivers.
Additionally, we will be offering application fee waivers to any applicant who submits an application between September 1st and November 5th. Please return to our website in September for more information about this process.
Sincerely,
-

I've successfully solicited UVA and Michigan. Denied at Nyu. I emailed the rest of the t14 minus HYS and Berkeley. Ill update once I hear back.

just heard back from GW (i doubt there is really THAT much interest in a GW waiver on this board but still thought i'd share) they said they offer waivers but don't have codes yet. Asked me to send them a request after their app opens on 10/1

Denied at NYU as in they aren't accepting solicitations, or denied as in they are accepting solicitations for waivers but just didn't give one to you?californiauser wrote:I've successfully solicited UVA and Michigan. Really excited to have scooped up UVA today. Also hoping there's a chance of Duke PT invites this week

Response from NYU when I tried to solicit a waiver:
A review for a merit and/or need based application fee waiver is not currently offered upon request.
You should make sure that you have signed up for LSAC's Candidate Referral Service. Schools use this service to encourage highly qualified applicants to apply to their program. If a candidate is invited to apply after already submitting an application, the fee will be refunded.
Applicants who have received a fee waiver from LSAC are eligible for a fee waiver from our application fee. Those who have received a LSAC fee waiver will automatically receive an application fee waiver from NYU upon submitting the electronic application.
Thank you for your interest in NYU School of Law.
Sincerely,
Office of Admissions
