I did 10. Couldn't afford to get too crazy.

Did you get fee waivers?

You can always email the admissions office and ask for a fee waiver if the school didn't give you one.

Is this true for any schools??

Some don't do solicited fee waivers.

Yeah I'm sure some will be annoying about it, but most of them want you to apply because it's really a win win for them. If you're qualified they get a good candidate, if you aren't they get to reject you and make their admission numbers look better.

I'm so glad I applied broadly (14 schools), because I struck out (ding or WL) of 3/3 T14s with a 3.88/166

Same. I applied to 21 schools. At least 10 more than I actually needed to. I had fee waivers to all of them but, still, so much money was wasted this cycle.

going through my cycle i applied to extra safeties for negotiating reasons and because i valued the surety. that's just me. there's value in being extra safe, y'all.

I definitely agree with that. I just applied too broadly and the safeties that would be negotiating tools are useless in obtaining more money from the places I really want to go. Mostly just bad planning on my part tbh

14 for me. The worst part is I decided about a month ago that if I don't get pulled off the waitlist at my original top choice, Im going to retake the LSAT and apply again in the fall. Such a waste of money, but I learned a lot from the process and will likely only be applying to 6 or so schools next cycle.
