1 what else do you need out of this thread?
2. You're going to fund law school as a business expense?

lol you want to do medmal? why? you dont need to go to harvard to be an ambulance chaser or to defend insurance companies. that case work is super fucking boring and unpresitigous, so you dont need the prestigious degree, especially if its going to be really expensive.

if youre looking for a career change and have steady cash flow from your owned practices (you alluded to this), why not do something cool like open a bar?

also, no one cares about your undergrad degree. hard science majors, while they have to work harder for their grades, often times come to law school as shitty writers, so its not the advantage over the lib arts kids that you think it is.

Also if you had a 3.76 gpa and an interest in medicine, and are good at taking standardized tests, you'd have taken the mcat. Therefore I think you will not get 174+ on the lsat. I still think if you have a solid interest in dentistry medmal, and have legit health issues, you should consider going to the best law school in your city, unless you live in Boston, palo, or new haven. That wwould likely be the best way to not piss your wife off and jumpstart a new, enjoyable career.

flashes23 wrote:lol saying that if I were smarter I would have taken the MCAT and gotten an MD is quite a leap. Kinda like me saying all lawyers are looking for prestige but too dumb to become doctors. Or someone with 5000 posts on an online forum must have no real friends, and likes to pretend he does online. :p
i dont know why youre so mad that top-law-schools.com forum user lacrossebrother pointed out that you're probably not that smart because you didnt become a doctor. it seems like a cogent point.

also, your lawyers are people too stupid to be doctors is the same as saying dentists are too stupid to be doctors point does not make much sense. dentists are in the medical field but were unable to get the MD (either because they were too dumb, or because they were afraid of failure--either way the point stands). lawyers probably weren't interested in becoming doctors--the two fields are very different.

I mean...
don't want to practice dentistry anymore because it's going to hurt your back -> quits practicing dentistry but still earn profits -> attend law school literally anything else that doesn't cost hundreds of thousands of dollars
what am I missing here?

Um... I think you're making a bunch of un-called for assumptions here, but even if not, what does it have to do with the OP's question?

Trust me dental school is no easier than med school and both are BY FARRRR harder than law school apparently. I don't know if you'll find a dental school in the nation with a 10%+ acceptance rate.

how do you know this? also, you keep going with the acceptance rate argument but im not sure how its relevant without knowing a host of other factors. its these kinds of critical reasoning skills that lead me to believe you would be a poor attorney even if you were lucky to gain admission to a law school.

Some of the people on this forum demonstrate my point in only selecting for high numbers. You get a lot of socially inept morons all with no distractions like friends, relationships, and exercise that managed to do well in an easy major. Someone so pathetic that they are in this forum just to argue and bicker for no apparent reason but boredom and probably loneliness. The fact that you think MY post asking MY questions is an argument, means you are indeed a moron. As for your advice, if you weren't accepted to Harvard, Yale, Stanford. Who really cares what you think?
lol damn man why are you so salty? people gave you advice on your stupid plan and you respond with name calling. that doesn't seem very smart to me and i dont think you'd be fit to be an officer of the court.

Hate to burst your bubble but lawyers don't have cushy 9-5 4 days a week schedules. Also might want to check the divorce rate among lawyers. Or depression. Or substance abuse.

Yeah, but tbf, people who don't get the concept of changing careers shitting on someone for wanting to change careers aren't being very chill and sociable.
