What would I do if I wanted to become a teacher though? Would I simply just take the English GRE in October and apply to schools where my numbers are competitive? I had a ton of B's in my major because the school I went to had heavy grade deflation. I don't know anything about the admissions process for MA programs or the scholarship money available.
Dude, I have NO idea. Do your own research. I'm also getting off the Rascal train. Pretty sure you're not salvageable.

Blasphemy. In my mind, the only person who can touch john1990 was Bearsgrl. Rascal is not far behind, though.

The point of this thread was for you guys to help me. :(

I feel like I'm too late to just dive into the teaching game. I seriously doubt the GRE is that hard, but, who knows? Maybe 1 month isn't sufficient time to study for it. I have no clue what scores I'll even need or how my average college grades will factor in. I don't even know where to apply! Looks like it'll be T14 or full ride for me. I need to stop gambling and get down to business I guess.

Maybe if you knew you wanted to be a lawyer and you wanted to practice in say, Georgia or another region, going to a place like UGA for free would be a fine option. But in your scenario, I just can't see it. In your situation, I genuinely think it would ruin your life.

I thought about what you said last night. I couldn't sleep at all because your words struck a chord. I've decided I'm going to prove you wrong!

I never knew what a "troll" was before I joined this forum.

Don't give up on me just yet, I still need help from everyone here.

You guys would be shocked if you knew my situation. My job pays $20/hour but I don't get a lot of hours (10-15/week) and I have $300 in my bank account right now and I don't get financial support from anyone else. Paying the loans is a struggle and I literally can't afford anything other than some occasional Chinese food or McDonald's. The loan repayment plan I'm on is a 10 year plan and I don't know if my current job would eventually open the door to a higher paying job that could allow me to comfortably pay off the undergrad loans. I don't even know how I'm going to pay the report fees on the rest of my apps this cycle.

So you can see why going to law school is even more attractive to me than ever before.
