Not even remotely. You get into the PD's office by gunning for it from day one of law school and spending every free hour you have externing/volunteering so that everyone in the office knows who Tennis Dude, his birthday, and his favorite color is by the time you pass the bar. Mock/moot might help you a little bit, but nobody will care how well your team does.

Like, both summers + a semester externship spent in the PD office you want to work in is probably bare minimum.

I'm going to add one caution to what is already some good advice ITT.

Being a lawyer is very stressful. That manifests itself in a lot of problems, including higher rates of alcoholism, drug abuse, anxiety disorders, and depression than the general population. This is not selection bias either- there's something about law school that does this to people.

Most lawyers live with the stress and do just fine- I had very similar health issues (GERD then other gastro problems +GAD) that started before 1L and continued into my first few years of practice, even as I've had what by all objective criteria is a decent career so far. It's not just anecdotal, there's been a fair amount of research on this issue. But understand that you might continue to live with the health issues during your career.
