I'm wondering if some of the trouble you've had is related to the bad cycles K-JDs have been having this year, and the fact that you're kind of a super K-JD. That'd explain why Harvard rejected you without an interview, but UVA which has a harder time keeping its numbers up and can't afford to care as much, offered you a full ride.

I'd think you'd be up for reconsideration at some places just by virtue of getting a year of WE and not being younger than the rest of the class, but UVA with a full ride is also a great option.

I wouldn't be surprised, and I think applying late was big for H as well, since there literally were 0 JS1s given out from when I went complete to now, so they obviously have most of their class together. I applied to UVA on 2/27, a month later than everywhere else, so I don't know what that says about UVA or my cycle lol.

I don't know about you but UVA for a full ride seems like an absolute steal to me. You'd probably be paying at least 150k more for a YHS degree anyway.
