to answer--no, this wasn't something I considered intensely. But I did do a quick google of "skype makeup tips" and came up with nothing, and when I did a practice session, I noticed how bad I looked in black/eyeliner/hair down. For some people, ignoring everything that matters less (skype appearance, wording of quick admissions questions, etc) helps keep the stress down. For others, making sure that the little things you can control are as close to perfect as possible helps.
