They started by ranking themselves 2nd, then spent months trying to figure out how to justify it

"By ranking according to first-year class size, first-year minority enrollment, and first-year minority enrollment percentage, schools are ranked on their ability to provide access to law school, particularly for minorities."

That's from their website. Seems legit. :/

Just one gem from their "methodology." It is stunning. Let's rank by total number of apples, total number of green apples, and then percentage of green apples. Totally three different things. The library shit is just incredible.

I'm personally pretty interested: I didn't end applying there, but my best friend turned down some pretty great schools (BU, Fordham, William and Mary) to go there. I didn't agree with the decision then, and I almost certainly won't agree with it even if UCI is ranked in the top 30 (which he thinks it will).

Meh, I personally would look to USNWR if COA was relatively close at all 3 (no schollys) and if none of them received a significant bump in my mind from visiting.

I would hope that movement amongst these three in USNWR is indicative of some infinitesimal changes in hiring trends, but that hope is—admittedly—blindly placed.

IMO great = T14
Decent = regional powerhouses, secondary schools in strong markets
Crap = everyone else (excluding sole school in its region)
