When considering statistical data, it is important to understand what actually goes into the statistics. For example, if Duke has 24 students sit for the bar and all 24 pass on the first time, they can boast that they have a bar passage rate of 100%. If Charlotte Law has 250 students, for example, take the exam and only 180 pass on the first time, our rate will be about 72%. We typically have more students than Duke sit for the bar, so generally their rate will differ significantly.
This shit is under-appreciated. Ironically this shit is phrased like a LSAT stim where you know the fucking answer has to do with fact that amount doesn't change percentages.
Unless they mean that Duke has fewer students but they are smarter, while CSoL has more and (at least) the difference is dumber. Does this assumption justify their reasoning?

All of these TTT responses should serve as Logical Reasoning practice exercises. Find the flaws!

I wish I could find the e-mail, but did anyone else get something from Miami about a summer program that offered a $250 discount for each friend you signed up? I think it was an international law class taught overseas - essentially just an over-priced vacation.

Sounds a lot like their JD and BA programs.

From Vermont Law School:
Vermont Law School has a reputation for producing agents of change. Don't just be another lawyer. Join a community of individuals working towards the common good.

Areas of Specialization:
Criminal Law
General Practice
International Law
Law and Technology
Human Rights
Dispute Resolution
Public Interest
Environmental Law
Agriculture and Food Policy
Climate Change
Energy Law
China
Land Use
Water Law

Vermont Law School is located in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled places on earth. Bring your kayak, hiking boots, or snowboard when you visit.
I'd specialize in China or water, honestly.

I get emails once or twice a week and I'm a junior in college. Never fails to make me laugh. They are still accepting applications? Boy I better get on it!

With LSAT/GPA medians of 146/2.98, shit probably works on people seriously considering Charlotte though.

WTF

All the rest of the stuff in there is the standard "average of all lawyers=your prospects out of law school" crap that everyone pulls, but how did they possibly get that number?
I've heard this same pitch before. Maybe they look at the data for attorneys who file for unemployment? Of course, unemployment data doesn't count graduates who never get a chance to practice, underemployment and attorneys who give up on trying to get a legal job.

The structure of that sentence bugs me as much as the "the legal profession is still totes worth it for EVERYONE" bs.

They're not counting the legal employment rates. Lawyers who don't get jobs as lawyers still gotta work somewhere. JD Preferred jobs, etc.

From FAMU (Florida A&M),
FAMU College of Law is an ABA accredited institution with a rich history and a strong mission. Our Academic Success and Bar Preparation Department is design to assist students on essential law school skills such as: understanding course framework, creating course outlines, stating proper legal rules, developing thorough analyses, (and) issue spotting. Our bar passage rate for the February 2013 test was a 82.6%. Our Clinical opportunities allow you to gain practical experience in the legal field.
Riddled with grammatical errors. I hope this school offers a remedial writing program to both students and staff.
