Pointing out that going to the best possible school is a better idea than paying for a lower-ranked school so that you don't have to ride the train to nail your girlfriend != thumbing one's nose at CCN.

It depends on what your goals are. If you both just want to work biglaw, then I don't think there's a huge divide between HYS and CCN. But if you would like prestigious clerkships, positions in elite government agencies, or jobs with elite nonprofits, then HYS can get you there a lot easier.
