Nice, new job at the admissions office?katesearches wrote:when people hear that I'm applying for admissions to law school, they all start talking about supposed unemployment statistics that say most people who go to law school end up without a job.
Does anyone just get tired of people telling them about this?
A lot of this talk usually comes from people who have considered going to law school, but have decided to either work or go for a PhD. I just think that with ANY career path, you risk not being able to get a job (right away)...

Repeated activity would be evidence enough. Assumption denied and issuance of evidence claim here.Mal Reynolds wrote:Assumption.BearsGrl wrote:Your obsession with Nathan Fillion scares me.Mal Reynolds wrote:kwais wrote:BearsGrl!!

Geist13 wrote:how responsive. anything else to add other than sarcasm? the point still stands that the main reason why people get worked up about low JD job prospects is the debt that students take to get there. So, like I said, it really makes no sense to compare their situation to PhD students, who take on little to no debt.RedBirds2011 wrote:@Geist:
Thank you for enlightening me on something I had no idea about! It's all brand new information to me.
Dude it depends highly on who specifically the fuck we are talking about. I was mainly only responding to PhD job prospects, which by the way, are so bad they make the legal market look AWESOME!
These overall debt issues are not new information to me and arent my problem specifically really so why are we even discussing this?

Oh, I've seen her. Back when I mainly lurked (i.e. less than a month ago) she kept me in the lulz during my week stranded in Frankfurt. Re: "People who go to law school don't get a job"
Here's the problem. If your goal is to become a real estate agent, you can keep trying until you get in. With law, if you don't get a job in the first couple of years out of school, you'll likely never be a lawyer. And unless you're a lawyer, a JD is useless.katesearches wrote:when people hear that I'm applying for admissions to law school, they all start talking about supposed unemployment statistics that say most people who go to law school end up without a job.

Mal Reynolds wrote:If you guys enjoyed assburgersgrl's work ITT, maybe you will enjoy her other wonderful work as well.
Her first attempt to disagree with Romo on legal hiring. It turned out well for her.
Not surprising therefore that she added to the derp in the rankings thread.
Assburgersgrl weighs in, gets owned by Romo and Rad Grizz.
White knighting for some super mad bro ITT.
Here she seals her troll reputation by pulling the ole "If you're not trying to get into the top 10% of your class" routine. Classic.
And my all time favorite, Bearsgrl claims that L.A. is central California.
I hope you all enjoy these as much as I did.

Who the heck decides to get stranded in Frankfurt? You fly into Frankfurt and then go elsewhere. Frankfurt is an hour to an hour and a half away from stuff. No need to be stranded.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Oh, I've seen her. Back when I mainly lurked (i.e. less than a month ago) she kept me in the lulz during my week stranded in Frankfurt. Went to visit a family member in the military, and of course the Army mucked up the timing at the last minute and kept him in Iraq an extra week. Had to play it day by day.BearsGrl wrote:
