I got an email while sitting in a flight brief (ima pilot) so I had to pretend I wasn't checking my phone and freaking out.

William and Mary. I got the " Congratulations! Admit packet mailed" status under mailings on my status checker, got somewhat excited yet extremely skeptical that it was some weird mistake, then felt relieved when the letter came a week later.

I got my admitted student login info. before anything else. I was insanely excited at first, but after the initial euphoria I was struck by fear of how I am going to possibly finance a legal education.

I got my first after the wildest (read: worst) night of drinking I've ever had. After opening the letter I guess I felt relief, that my life was not completely in shambles like I thought.

Came via phone call; included 60% tuition scholarship.

Sense of relief; not my top choice, but among the top among "reasonable expectation of acceptance." Gives me a great option if nobody better comes calling, and gives me good leverage for a little money if they do.

UCLA for me. I was at work, saw the unfamiliar area code, and stepped outside. I started jumping for joy a few seconds later. I wasn't expecting anything back that soon as I applied two weeks before.
