Unsure about other schools, but I believe Cornell applies fee waivers retroactively, meaning if you submit and happen to get an email from them 2 weeks later or something, then they will refund it.

Same. Ironically, if I could have only chosen one to get a fee waiver from, it would have been UCLA.

I think UCLA does upon request, mention #s and URM status in an email.

-USC (just came now actually, already applied...damn)

Does anyone know if UCLA will refund my fee?

Anyone know the answer to the above? I was going to put out some apps tonight, but am hesitant to when I may get a fee waiver.

Also, just got USC, there really doesn't seem to be much method to the waiver madness. I'm from Michigan...WTF UMich

I think UCLA doesn't do retroactively (USC definitely does not).
I would email UCLA tomorrow /wait until wed to apply

BU will usually give one if you ask. That was how I decided where to apply between BC and BU... BU gave me one, BC did not.

"Sup, brah? These are my marks and I really want to go here so can i have a fee waiver?"

I guess I am just bad as asking for things.

Last year, I received a fee waiver from BU via mail about a week or 2 after i applied. Unless their policy changed, they will not retroactively award the fee waiver once you have paid.

I got one from BU which doesn't really make any sense to me since my LSAT and GPA are too low for them to take me seriously

I'm so glad to see the crazy waivers because i was pretty disappointed at not getting duke, g'town, cornell, and others but i did get UVa and UCLA. maybe later this week!

Yes email them and tell them you were glad to receive their fee waiver but that you had already submitted your application and paid. Ask them if they can still apply the fee waive and provide you with a refund.

Is it also more beneficial to put in your numbers are do they look at that eventually?
