I have a 3.0, 170 was flat out acceped. I know of someone who had a 3.1, 169, flat out rejected. If your GPA is low you need a 170, even for PT
169 gives a small shot, 168 with a low GPA is dead in the water.
Ok but you are neglecting the possibility that your resume, PS, LORs, and all other materials may have contributed to you being accepted "flat out" over who you know. I think that's just more proof that there's more than numbers involved.
Schools need to protect their medians. A 3.1, 169 needs to have a 3.8/170 matriculate with them or it lowers GULCs LSAT and GPA median. They aren't going to do that because 3.8/170's won't go to GULC without money.
170 or get the fuck out.
Why are so many applicants within both medians rejected then?
They aren't.

I agree with the group that you need a much higher LSAT for Georgetown, but if you improve your score just one point, then you're at median for patent heaven (ahem, GWU).

Your sorting the results by acceptance. This is a link sorting them by LSAT. I still see a handful of dings and WLs for applicants above the median for the FT program.

No I filtered applications above both medians. Some WL's but almost everyone got in.
