Pretty darn insensitive comment here. No one maligns Jewish people for keeping kosher (or at least no one should). The Bible proscribes usury, and some sects have different definitions of what that is. I love when people engage in wholesale mockery of religion without knowing squat about, really, anything.Always Credited wrote:DeSimone wrote:The fact that we live in the 21st century should suffice.Always Credited wrote:To be fair, some religions prohibit paying interest...although there are apparently ways around it.Danteshek wrote:Ever heard of loans?

Eating kosher doesn't really affect much in life though. You buy stuff marked kosher instead of regular stuff. A lot of times kosher tastes better anyway.
Not taking out loans because they charge interest is utterly silly, and can make life dramatically more difficult.

Re: Credit Reports
Edit:
Thanks to all those that responded publically and privately. I got a lot of helpful information.
The situation was solved - with the one disputed item removed that I challenged. So, now sitting with perfectly clean score,
nearing 800 from all 3 companies.

Re: Dismissed from LS
FICO scores max out at 850. And any debt or adverse credit history would immediately knock you out of that ballpark.
So your scores are wrong. Or made-up.
Regardless, loans aren't calculated based on score. If that bad debt is within 90 days old, it will mean no Grad PLUS loans.

I absolutely hate when OP's do this shit. Why the hell do you start a thread asking a legitimate question, then slip off and ignore all comments and responses? Only one reason: Flame.

FICO is the only one that matters. Otherwise, it's like bragging about getting a Diner's Club card.

I engage in wholesale mockery of religion because believing dumb shit people made up thousands of years ago is even lamer than making up your own dumb shit.ze2151 wrote:Pretty darn insensitive comment here. I had to get my FICO report a few weeks back, and the scores were in-line with AdvantageScore.
Not possible, given that FICO score do not go that high (300 - 850), and any type of adverse info on the credit history will not let you get a score anywhere close to perfect. I've seen people with no adverse credit at all, ever, and they still didn't have a perfect score, which you claim to have exceeded.

I already answered it.

That isn't your FICO credit scores. HTH.kalvano wrote:Shasha Dew Dew wrote:Not bragging! Trying to get real answers. I know the difference between FICO and AdvantageScore (marginal at best).

You will get rejected for grad plus if you have a collection on your account. You can appeal it. However, by the time they run your credit the other two should have it removed.
EDIT: Took out personal info.

Despite the fact it's probably best to drop out of law school in any capacity in this economy, anyone who does so for purely religious motives deserves to be laughed at.
Millenia-old religions have no place in the federal loan market. Enjoy not going to law school if this is the case.

Re: Dismissed from LS
I figured she meant that the FICO score was around the same place on that scale (~700ish maybe?) as the scores given are on the AdvantageScore scale. Not that this really matters since you did answer the question.kalvano wrote:Shasha Dew Dew wrote:Not bragging! Trying to get real answers.
