Haha, only some of us officially get to move forums :'(. I feel like I got held back a grade and all my friends are moving on

.
Yeah.....i'm not sure if I qualify for URM to be honest. I don't really have a strong connection to the community but it is my ancestry, so hopefully I can write a pretty good DS and get some sort of boost? IDK, i'm not really sure so i'm pretty much approaching this cycle as if i'm not a urm, and any boost i get is icing on the cake.

Umm... what? What aer you complaining about? You are a URM (yes, check the damn box) with a 171 and a 3.8. Re-take if you really want to, but I'd be surprised if you didn't get HYS. And CCN is lock city.

sorry if I came off as complaining/whining. I guess i'm just disappointed in myself by dropping a full 5 points from my PT average. to be honest, i'd rather make it on my own merits, rather than rely on URM; who knows if I get a boost, and if I do, who knows how much.
honestly, i'm just disappointed in myself...considering the wound is pretty fresh. i hope you understand.

You're a male! I thought you were a girl sitting in a bunch of balls. I'm a straight woman, and I'm still a little disappointed. That girl just looks so happy and upbeat.

Hahaha. Yeah, I guess these forums show you can't tell gender from how someone writes.

Oh for sure. The LSAT battle is an internal game to do the best you can. You did worse than you'd hoped, and I can appreciate that. You also want to earn your acceptance on merit alone, and I can appreciate that and respect that as well.
But as far as getting into schools you are targeting, you're in great shape. For admissions purposes, I would give my left testicle to be a URM 171/3.8. Congrats on the great score, and good luck with your cycle.

LSAT: 167
Average: 170
GPA: 3.73
Schools: t14 except cornell
Reservations: I'll have a degree in economics, and I don't think I can survive a retake, let alone 3 years of law school. I'm inclined to say this is an easy no and skip ls?
Also, does anyone know where I can get the past five months back?

All LSAT Scores: 170
LSAT PT average: 171
LSAC GPA: 3.69
Race: White
Other information worthy of consideration: Good softs, non-HYP Ivy undergraduate. Only took about seven or eight practice tests leading up to the June LSAT.
Schools you're interested in: NYU is my absolute #1 (willing to go ED), though I would be satisfied with MVP, especially if I got some money.
