Yeah, the Pac-10 is tricky, because the best schools are so good, but the worst schools are much lower ranked. Taking Oregon State's ranking as a generous 175, the average ranking for a PAC-10 school is 73.6. The average ranking for a Big 10 school is 50.2. The average ranking of an ACC school is 48.7.
Note - I found this year's numbers for these posts. I realize that I was using last year's ACC numbers in my previous post, but it doesn't change the rankings or the comparisons.
