Isn't TLS just a huge compilation of mostly unsubstantiated opinions that people don't keep to themselves.

I think opinions are fair game, particularly in this thread. And besides, hombredulce's opinion on this subject is far from overrated on this site.

LOL fact of the matter is most of the stats you see only talk about placement into NLJ250 firms, when the reality is that in some markets 95% of the firms are not listed in the NLJ250 but pay market. That's not to say there are lots of these jobs out there waiting to be snatched up though. I simply pointed out that old biglaw percentage chart that everyone points to is not the gospel.

Also why should two 0L's (i.e. people who havent been through one set of exams, or oci) be speaking so freely about legal employment?

but anyway, congrats guys. You obviously attend a school with the geographic advantage of being located near these large firms. I don't think that in anyway discredits my statement about the disproportionate amount of weight that is placed on statistics that only show placement in the nations 250 largest firms though.

Numbers don't lie. NLJ 250 may not be all of the jobs, but they'll have the most jobs. Besides, one step at a time after the USNWR. No one goes cold turkey on rankings.

Berkeley (California, what else do I need to say)
Chicago (because it's a TTT state public school)
Vanderbilt (good luck living in the south the rest of your life, yuck)

Michigan (a half hour drive from Detroit, seriously, who's idea was that?)

Ann Coulter went to Michigan LS and Cornell UG. Richard Nixon might be a suitable replacement. Maybe Tucker Max as well, but he is probably more of an asset than a liability. Unless, of course, you simply meant that Ann Coulter literally once visited Duke. Cause even that is inexcusable.

Really struggles in the job market, from everything I've read (I did my undergrad at UR).

I'll say SMU. Barely top-50, but dominates an enormous legal market.
