It's great that you can cherry-pick your employment opportunities, but lots of us aren't so lucky; some people need to pay the rent, even if it means working for a company that would fire someone for posting online.
You asked why it was an issue to post your info on-line and were given an answer. While it may not apply to
you, it has definitely had a marked impact on others' life situations.
As for being able to identify us, I'm tempted (and frightened) to take the bait, as I'm not sure how on Earth you'd be able to identify me (unless you're at the NSA or FBI, in which case I don't know why you're applying to law school after so many years of apparently awesome job opportunities you've turned down at interviews). That said, if you can identify me and PM me my real name (not on the boards, please), I will admit to all in this thread that you were right.
