The Deep End is the worst piece of crap currently on TV.

Anyone who is turning to current law-based TV shows looking for an example of "What Being a Lawyer Is Really Like" is going to end up disappointed.

Anyone who is turning to any current TV shows for entertainment is also going to be disappointed.

There are some decent shows, but they are the extreme minority.

you don't think watching legal television is a good indicator of whether or not you want to go to law school?

The first episode of the deep end featured a guy who got his J.D from cambridge...

I think one of the best legal movies I've seen is A Civil Action.

Did they actually say that? I assumed he had a LLM, but I was paying more attention to ATLs liveblog.

LOL, yes they ACTUALLY said that. I picked up on it, too. Not to mention all 4 associates have seen the inside of a court room as they "2nd chair." Wouldn't they be burried in memo writing and research?

The Good Wife=Produced by Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Blade Runner, Hannibal, Black Hawk Down) Naturally, at least a decent show.

The Deep End, as quoted by Wiki= "Critical response of the series has been mainly negative, averaging 36/100 on Metacritic, based on 21 reviews. [5] Also, it has been heavily criticized as grossly unrealistic by actual lawyers (who were interviewed by Texas Lawyer after watching the show) because it depicts numerous outrageous violations of the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct.[6] The show also shows young associates performing tedious legal research the old-fashioned way, when any firm of Sterling's size and caliber would naturally have a subscription to an online database like Westlaw."

Lol, enough said. :) Deeply saddened that ABC chose this poor excuse of a show to replace Flash Forward.

Edit: Neither show in the thread title are any good, it's insulting to call The Deep End the law version of Grey's.
Yes, no need to bash Grey´s here and comparing it to The Deep End definitely is.

Maybe they will cancel it and pick up Raising The Bar.

This thread reminds me of the canceled ABC show Traveler, if only because its first episode had an FBI agent say the title character graduate in the "top 3 in his class at Yale Law School". First off, I don't think YLS distinguishes its top 3 students and, if they did, I'm pretty sure the damn FBI would be able to figure out which one of those numbers he actually is, rather than saying 'top 3'.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
