Someone should start keeping track of how much TLS has donated (I'm not volunteering, just saying :D )

$25 to the Clinton Foundation. Should've done this earlier. I fail at being on top of things.

<3 to TLS for this wonderful idea.

Wow, that is amazing. Tell him thanks for his service.

Also, current TLS tally is $210, but it's probably way in excess of that amount, as half the people in this thread did not specify their donation. I'm not opposed to keeping a running tally if others want to share.

I consider myself a frugal person, but exceptions can be made... especially for TLS. $10.

$50 to canadian red cross. Our head of state is of Haitian decent and not surprisingly her press conference on the disaster was rather emotional.

TLS running tally is $425 as of 2:40pm (reflecting donations described via PM). If you gave, but don't want to post the amount, you can PM me and I will keep track.

Shall we set a fundraising goal? I wonder how much TLS can actually raise-- I am waiting anxiously for my loan money, and when Fordham cuts me a check I will make a bigger donation in memory of my uncle, who recently passed away.

If you already made a donation, please either make note of it here, or shoot me a quick PM. I do think TLS's response so far has been awesome, considering we're mostly poor 0Ls and law students.

Put me down for $10.

A friend of mine sent me a text with this info:

The Red Cross needs Creole speaking volunteers for a 24 hr phone line. Please call B Willford at 305-776-6900 if you can help in this capacity.

You can also donate $5 by texting "YELE" to 501501.

nice, my gf interns there

there is a rumor going around that UPS will ship anything under 50lbs to Haiti for free w/ clothes and canned food, etc.

apparently this is not true, as
The destruction of roads and communications networks means our own shipping services to Haiti are on hold.

I gave $20 to Direct Relief International... supposedly only 1% of their cost go to administration, which seems pretty good
