I doubt you're going to get Penn or Chicago with those numbers. 172 didn't even get me Chicago, though Penn did come through.jocelyne wrote:168 here...do I have a chance for FW at Chicago/Penn/Cornell? Emailed GULC but P.Robinson said nooo =(....
Has anyone received Cornell? I have not.

I only had to pay for 6 of the 17 schools I applied to - Chicago, Penn, GULC, NYU, Vanderbilt, and Cornell. Notable waivers were from Duke, UCLA, Michigan, UVA, Notre Dame and BU. Thank god for merit waivers and prompt filling of fee waiver requests.

Oops sorry. I meant to say Columbia instead of Chicago. Chicago would've been nice...squelp wrote:I got Columbia and Cornell but not Chicago with a 172.letsgojayhawks wrote:Blazers4Life wrote:I doubt you're going to get Penn or Chicago with those numbers. 172 didn't even get me Chicago, though Penn did come through.jocelyne wrote:168 here...do I have a chance for FW at Chicago/Penn/Cornell? Got Duke on Friday via email. I just looked at it again and it specifically cited my "college record"--ha! I knew it wasn't based on my LSAT score.

got nyu over the weekend, after i already applied
also, for anyone with good #s for michigan and who retook the lsat (going from not worthy to mich fee waiver to worthy) and hasn't received a fee waiver yet, i would recommend emailing the admissions office. they said that with september they had only uploaded new names, not new scores. or at least thats what they told me when i asked.

168/4.02 Non-URM
Does anyone have any luck requesting waivers from:
-UC Davis
-UC Hastings
-Cornell
-GULC
-Columbia
-Stanford
I know a number of these schools are big reaches for me, but I know some schools give out waivers to students below their numbers. Anyone?

I'm going to guess that UC Davis & Hastings don't give out merit waivers. If anyone knows different, then say so.mbv wrote:168/4.02 Non-URM

Those schools aren't even on my radar. If I had 168/4.02.... they would not be on my radar still. mbv, you'll get into Berkeley. UCLA will give you money.superflush wrote:I'm going to guess that UC Davis & Hastings don't give out merit waivers. If anyone knows different, then say so.mbv wrote:168/4.02 Non-URM

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker/FAQ Thread
I sent out emails to many schools with a request for merit-based fee waivers. The schools include, Alabama, Colorado, Chicago, UWashington, Lewis & Clark, NYU, San Diego, Vanderbilt, Michigan, UCLA, WashU, Northwestern, and a few others.
Alabama responded within a day, on a Sunday, that i was granted a waiver. Does anyone have a feel for how long it takes these other admissions departments to respond to these requests?

You will see most of them show up today. Most of the time the turnaround is less than 24 hours.UTL_plz wrote:I sent out emails to many schools with a request for merit-based fee waivers.
