I jumped all over the chance to do summer start at IU so I could quit my job ASAP.
Last day: June 18th. The days are only getting longer in the meantime...but I get to quit in 52,208 minutes.

Anyone know if there is a program or something online that is like a countdown clock?

Looks like I am probably going to be deferring, so I have a while to wait now.

Am I the only person who wishes they had a few more months to work before school?!?!?
I LOVEEEE my job....just wished it paid a bit more. I'm literally dreading the day I quit. I can't even fathom being a poor student again. I'll also be giving up my NYC apt and moving home with my parents for school
I'm only taking 2 weeks off in between work and school. Should be enough time to move and relax a bit.

There has seldom been a moment in 2 1/2 years of working here that I have not deeply relished the idea of quitting. I can't wait.
On the other hand, I'm not doing it until July 31 because I need as much cash as I can get. At 25, the books and moving expenses and first month's rent and deposit and everything else...they're all on me.

I'm with you. I'm definitely not looking forward to being broke again, and not shopping as much as I have these past two years. There's so many shoe catagories I haven't filled yet, I don't know how I'll get through the next three years!!!PhillyLawGirl wrote:Am I the only person who wishes they had a few more months to work before school?!?!?

I'm finished at the end of the month. I told my boss about 3 minutes ago.

Won't be very sad to stop writing a mind numbingly large NYC rent check every month though.....

We both know that no matter how much we stock up, it will never be enough. There will always be another color, another shape... I'll never be satisfiedPhillyLawGirl wrote:HAHA...me too!!! On the plus side, my matching 401k funds become fully vested in one week.

JUNE 15TH!!! Taking a cross country trip from Boston to Seattle (where I'll be going to school) with a friend. I like the people I work with, and the firm is great... but I'm an admin. Nobody likes being an admin. I agree with those not lookng forward to being poor. Good thing I don't give two shits about shoes
I have, however, developed an affinity for expensive outdoor gear. Sigh. It's always something. But it'll be worth it.
Oh! And I just found out that my company is essentially too lazy to take me off of their insurance plan until the end of the summer. Eeeexxxcellent.
