Can you post a control that shows how we would have done if we'd just mimicked the 2016 list? Curious to see if it would win.

If this year's rankings were the exact same as last year, the poster who came in second place this year based on the actual rankings would have stayed in second place.
Weirdly, almost everyone else's outcome (aside from second place guy) would be vastly different.

I think he's saying, if you used last year's rankings as your entry, where would you have placed.

I will slowly and obnoxiously list off the entries from worst to best. I'll announce the winner around 8:00 PM like last year
How cool, on a scale of "That Guy Who Said This Contest Was Racist Because of the 100 Post Rule" - to - "Cannibal Ox" is the winner?
tbf, "this contest is racist because of the 100 post requirement" sounds like something cannibal ox would (jokingly) say.

If someone had submitted last year's rankings as their entry this year, they would have come in second place by one point.

That's like the person that wins the office NCAA tournament pool by picking the higher seeded team in each game. Or I guess comes in second because they do so.

Or like the person who invests in an S&P 500 index fund and ends up beating hedge funds. Which happened in real life.

I knew Duke was a mirage. National championship and T8 in one year sounded way too good to be true.

I think I'm gonna do this next year instead of always copying that know nothing Lavitz.

we know that US News will change at least one of the rankings because they want to sell shit so submitting last year's rankings should probably not be ok otherwise it's just gonna be a post count contest
which i'm find with only if posts in the NBA threads are excluded from overall post count

But in all seriousness, I'll probs forget to copy/paste the rankings again like I did this year and will relapse into copying Lavitz, a 2017 USNWR T25 Prediction Contest predictor in decline.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
