Im a gpa less international as well..I posted my waivers abovescone wrote:Hidden waiver from Columbia - I'm an international with no GPA, if that helps anyone. The only other non-solicited T14 waiver was from Penn. I've solicited Duke and UVA.
Any GPA-less internationals heard back from Chicago or NYU?

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
Probably a (dumb) question that's already been answered but any help welcome. I received some fee waivers, and when I tried to solicit from other schools (Vanderbilt, Cornell, Penn) I got the standard CRS email. Do you have to have your transcript on file to get some of these CRS fee waivers? Had a couple issues with my transcript so LSAC probably won't have it until early next week. Also realized I didn't have my profile set on starting law school in 2016 until earlier this week and I'm afraid I missed the wave of fee waivers released after the October lsat. I'm wondering if I should wait a couple more weeks and see if I can get fee waivers before submitting to those schools.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

Just got Columbia and Cornell, which rounds out the T-14 schools that do give out waivers. Except I didn't get one from Northwestern, which feels a bit odd, but I don't really know the process that well yet anyway.

Oh, interesting. Thank you! I'm not applying this cycle (work exp. + retaking), but that's good to hear.

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
I got Columbia, Chicago, and NYU all this week, which was awesome
Unsolicited:
CCN, Penn, Duke (PT), UVA (after already asking for one), Michigan, Northwestern, UCLA, Vandy, BC & BU
Solicited:
UVA and GW
Curious as to why I haven't heard anything from Georgetown and Cornell. It seems they aren't terribly receptive to being solicited either, yes?

I got a second, then third email from Columbia at around 1 pm. They both told me that they're now waiving the fee.gamerish wrote:ETA: Just got the email from Columbia. So not so hidden I guess?
ETA2: Cornell email too.
No love from Cornell, though. They responded to my request with a link to their fee waiver policy, which says that they'll determine who receives merit waivers by using CRS.

I found Georgetown very easy to solicit from. You should definitely shoot them an email!AshburtonGrove wrote:I got Columbia, Chicago, and NYU all this week, which was awesome![]()

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
Just got a response from UCLA saying that they'll waive the fee. Everyone whom I solicited has now responded.
Results:
Solicited - George Washington, UCLA
Unsolicited - Columbia??, UVA, Penn, Michigan, Alabama, NYU, Georgetown, Emory, Duke, William & Mary, WUSTL (maybe should be solicited as they sent me an email with link to request and I had to formally request); also a bunch of lower T1, T2, TTTs, and TTTTs
Said no - Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, Texas, Cornell
Universally free for now - Northwestern, USC, Pepperdine
Website says no soliciting - Chicago, Hawaii

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
Hi guys! I am an international student without GPA. I am wondering whether 170 is too low for unsolicited T14 fee waivers cause I didn't get any since I got my October score. Thanks!

Some schools may require a GPA, but I think you should be getting some--make sure you're enrolled in CRS. Some international students a few pages back said they were getting some waivers.Gobreeze wrote:Hi guys! I am an international student without GPA. Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
So I tried to email some schools to get awarded fee waivers. Results so far:
Emailed NYU, told me they don't give out solicited waivers.
BU just never emailed me back.
GWU granted me a fee waiver
Signed up for one for NU
Unsolicited waivers so far:
Columbia, Duke, UVA, Ann Arbor, Georgetown, UCLA, Vandy, Emory, Notre Dame. Will use some of these
Will also use free application for USC
Should I not bother with BU or give them a call?

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
So I got an email from Georgetown inviting me to apply as a "promising candidate". Did anyone else get this email? There was no mention of a fee waiver whatsoever in this email tho. Basically seemed like a long way to say "give us money you reach applicant" lol. Maybe this is a hidden waiver?
Unsolicited:
Emory University School of Law
Washington U of Stl
UCLA Law
University of Georgia School of Law
Vanderbilt Law School
Wake Forest University School of Law
University of Virginia School of Law
UNC Law
Columbia University School of Law
Going to try emailing NYU, Duke, Penn, Mich, GWU, Chicago, Notre Dame

Never had an email like this, anyone get this? What does it mean?

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
Hi.
I was sent a code for a Vanderbilt fee waiver. I copied and pasted the code from the email to the appropriate spot on the LSAC application portal. It came up saying invalid cupon. I emailed Vanderbilt explaining the issue and they sent me a new code. Same problem. Any advice?
Thanks!

You were totally right. I emailed GULC and they sent me a fee waiver the next day. Thanks for the advice!beckett wrote:I found Georgetown very easy to solicit from. You should definitely shoot them an email!AshburtonGrove wrote:I got Columbia, Chicago, and NYU all this week, which was awesome![]()

Ask them. The worst they will say is no. It won't hurt you.no_desk wrote:Does anyone know anything about the chances of soliciting a PT application from Duke? I saw one person mentioned they had earlier in the thread, but that they had only asked for a fee waiver and ended up getting both. My application is ready to be submitted and I honestly just want to send it in already and stop thinking about it, but obviously I'd love to get a response in 10 days if I can. Cornell and them are the only T-14 schools that give waivers out that I haven't gotten ones from yet, but all of those were a week ago and it seems the waivers have slowed down for me.

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
Sorry if this has already been addressed but are most fee waivers dependent on your transcript being accepted and an official LSAC GPA calculated? I have received fee waivers from Penn, Duke and Michigan from my lsat score alone but I'm not feeling the love from some other schools. Hoping that will change once my transcript is processed.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
