So also, held lsat median, slight gpa bump and bugger class size

Something is gonna give eventually
This is not a win for ND. This is a school that had a 166 median just 2 years ago.
It's not going to shoot up overnight, probably. Any improvement is a win.
I see your point. But I think Georgia maintaining a 163 year to year is a win. ND sliding a ridiculous 3 points and then staying there has to be viewed as a disaster by both alumni and admin. As people have mentioned, ND did not offer competitive scholarships the past 2 cycles, and it's come back to bite them.

What's funny is that they actually had pretty good employment numbers last year.

But their employment numbers speak to the fact that LSAT scores have nothing to do with employment. Employers aren't looking at ND's LSAT median and revoking offers.

When you offer dual >75th like no better than a half scholly in a crappy legal market you deserve to see your median drop 3 points. All the T1 schools seem to be holding last year's numbers but if there's no return to what they were at a few years ago then that's a good thing. Bigger class sizes are a bad sign though and indicate that they're not really concerned with placing students in jobs - hardly a shocker.

Thanks a ton!
Sorry to harp, but 3.55 is Rutgers-Newark's 75%, not it's median.
Class 148 full time, 42 part time.

Have we been including part time divisions in the class sizes? For example, is 544 from last year just the full time count for Georgetown?
Part time stats are factored into rankings these days, right?

The top 50 thus far confuses me. It's either feast (maintaining median and increasing class size by a lot) or famine.

Davis, USC and probably Stanford are the only cali schools that have gotten an increase in apps so far that we know. UCLA, Berkeley, Hastings, San Francisco, Golden Gate, pacific, san diego, whittier, santa clara all down. Don't know about Irvine, Pepperdine, Loyola and a few others yet(they are all probably down other than maybe Irvine).

Davis increased its aid by a lot, I doubt they were able to increase revenue despite plus 20 class size.

Davis reporting so early boosts the theory that those who are happy with their stats are coming out early.

Yes, and the fact it unfolds like that every year (remember Penn last year?) and that it is entirely human nature. An admissions dean is dying to say stats at orientation if all is well.

That said, the one caveat is the ABA reporting date in October. Some (perhaps wise) admissions deans might not want to report anything until then because if the numbers change they will get accused of cooking the books when it just means a few people dropped out.

This does not bode well for WUSTL, already in their first week of classes.

This may be largely apparent to everyone, but it seems as though the mid-160's market has been gutted by the top-20 or schools offering serious scholarships. Given that 166 is the 25% percentile for at least 2 T-14 schools (With 169 being the notable median or even 75%), it seems possible that a lot of schools in the lower T-50 are going to be struggling to hit 160. I mean, IU-B had pretty solid medians at one point, but this year its slipped even closer to the 160 mark. Further, just eyeballing the T-20 schools who reported shows that their 25% dipped into the lower 160s when the mid-160s used to be their cut off (prior to last years application drop).

TL;DR: My prediction is that a lot of mid-west schools and lower T-50s in locations lacking lay popularity (looking at you, Utah) are going to struggle to stay at, or slightly above, 160 (See IU-B).

I was very confused looking at Richmond's numbers. On the left they have medians of 161 and 3.54 - but I think that is applicants who received offers of admission but did not necessarily enroll (they say all 50 states here). On the right they have the enrolled class, which is 160 and 3.50 and a class size of 132. The ABA should prohibit that sort of misleading figures on the website.

Good call. My bad. That 176 was an admitted student, not necessarily a matriculant.
