Just thought I'd throw it out there, why not check African American and white? Then all bases are covered for a white American with ancestry from the African continent. Also, I hope this thread gets locked, it keeps taking up prime real estate on the front page.

If you're not a flame, then are you from Sub-Saharan Africa? If yes, then you're AA for all intents and purposes of law school admissions.

#2 is kind of out of left field. I have no problem with the bar comparing undergraduate records with LS apps and asking questions to see if a person misrepresented his ethnicity. But if a Libyan has checked the box his whole life and genuinely identifies with AA, what's the deal?

OP has already said he's been previously checking "other", not "AA". That's the deal.
