Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
That's funny: I just got the Chicago email too, but I already applied via a hidden waiver.
Oh well, it's the thought that counts.
Did everyone get the picture of "Public interest students at an auction," or was that personalized?

Got the UChicago waiver today. My numbers are 170/3.76 so it's a stretch, but worth a $12 application for damn sure.

I requested waivers from NYU and Chicago - NYU says they don't offer any (which seems like a lie) I know people here received fee waivers; but are these non-LSAC waivers?
Also, Chicago says to wait for CRS.
Otherwise, do you guys suggesting only applying to schools that offer you a fee waiver? Because if they refused your fee waiver request, doesn't it mean your numbers are too low?
Thanks

No. The range of GPA/LSATs that schools give waivers to is not the same range as what they admit.jocelyne wrote:I requested waivers from NYU and Chicago - NYU says they don't offer any (which seems like a lie) I know people here received fee waivers; but are these non-LSAC waivers?

Hell no. Don't put too much stock into fee waivers on any level. Just because you were denied a waiver doesn't mean you will be denied admission. In the same regard, receiving a fee waiver by no means indicates that you have a good chance at admission.jocelyne wrote: Otherwise, do you guys suggesting only applying to schools that offer you a fee waiver? Waivers thus far
unsolicited: Cincinnati, George Mason, William & Mary, Temple, Seton Hall, Cardozo, UGA, Iowa, Richmond, Uconn, Indiana, Depaul, Suffolk, Illinois
solicited: BU, Emory, Villanova, WUSTL, Alabama, Colorado
I e-mailed Fordham and they sent me something back saying that they would mail me "the information I requested" so we'll see what that ends up being. Notre Dame sent me a link to the section on their website that talks about fee waivers and I don't know why they don't like me. Vandy told me they do waivers through CRS (didn't have high hopes for that one) and Boston college said they don't do merit waivers which kind of turned me off to them. Would love USC but also don't have high hopes for it.

PACIFIC MCGEORGE!!
I have a serious chance of admission there, so they are kindly waiving the fee.
All things considered, the one thing they have going for them is that name. What an incredible name.

I spoke with USC yesterday and they told me they have not yet used CRS for the September LSAT takers... I don't know if it was the truth, but supposedly the waivers should come soon.

They did not look at my stats, but my LSN is in my profile.tar2009 wrote: If you don't mind sharing, what are your stats?
I spoke to a guy at the admissions office who said if you aren't claimed on your parents tax returns they give it to almost everyone, it was really easy to get. I am happy I waited for them to give me an answer.alleyoop86 wrote:

Is this true? No September taker has gotten Cornell yet? Maybe they're waiting until EA deadline passes, to get the people who were going to apply anyway to pay.tamlyric wrote:Still no Cornell fee waivers for September test-takers?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
