Incredible. And even with this massive drop in the quality of accepted applicants, their class size has still dropped over 100 1L's since 2010. You have to wonder how long Suffolk and other peer schools can survive the drop in applicant numbers and quality if it continues a few more years.shifty_eyed wrote:Wow. While a 180 to a 170 is only 2.5 percentile points different (i.e. negligible), a 156 = top 67-68% and 146 = top 28-30% of LSAT takers.Brut wrote:2010: 156Bobzilla wrote:Suffolk is up.

That's consecutive 3 point drops. Damn.

Suffolk is unranked, so I don't think their plummeting credentials matters as much to their reputation in Boston. It's always been seen as that school under BU/BC.
It's hilarious that their employment numbers + biglaw/fed is ~30-40% and ~5-10% respectively, similar to Northeastern. They even surpassed them in previous years.
Does to show how much employers dislike NE's grading system I suppose.

Why do y'all think GW took so many more this year? My guess is that they're competing with Georgetown.DavidConeSplitter wrote:GW taking 539 1L's DAMN that's absurd even for GW

Given the cost of a degree at GW, I suspect that few graduates have much left over for alumni donations. </humor>scottidsntknow wrote:Do they have a really low endowment like GULC?PN-G bamakid wrote:Why do y'all think GW took so many more this year? On a more serious note, GW seems to have a larger endowment than Georgetown, but not by much.

That's like 110 enrolled with a 120-138 LSAT score. That's TENTH percentile or less. And it's fully accredited.
Keep up the good work ABA.

That's the tenth percentile of *takers*. Most people scoring that low don't go to law school. It's probably the bottom percentile of law students.whitespider wrote:That's like 110 enrolled with a 138 or less LSAT score. That's TENTH percentile or less. And it's fully accredited.

What LSAT score would you get if you guessed on every single question without reading it? Got to be around a 138.

38% drop out at some point.
Hey does anyone think that the people who drop out are the same people who apparently filled in their scantron with a number 7 pencil
No that can't be

I wanted to work this into my above post but unfortunately, guessing all Cs on the LSAT would get you around a 125cannibal ox wrote:What LSAT score would you get if you guessed on every single question without reading it? Got to be around a 138.

Re: C/O 2017 Median LSAT/GPA/Class Size (New Stats!!!)
On a 100 question test with a 5 options per question, you should statistically get 20 of them right by randomly guessing. That equates to about a 125, or 0.7 percentile. A 138 equates to about 34 questions right, or a 9.6 percentile.cannibal ox wrote:What LSAT score would you get if you guessed on every single question without reading it? Got to be around a 138.
So, if you can do just mildly better than randomly guessing on the LSAT, you can go to Charlotte School of Law.

If you were to just find the easiest 17 correct answers and then randomly guess on the other 83, you would get about 34 right, give or take a few. That gets you the sweet sweet 138.cannibal ox wrote:What LSAT score would you get if you guessed on every single question without reading it? Got to be around a 138.
