Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
WUSTL said they'd start sending them out when their application for next Fall's entering class became available. Can't get one (fee waiver) earlier by asking apparently.

I requested one from WUSTL and it was granted a couple of weeks ago.poprox wrote:WUSTL said they'd start sending them out when their application for next Fall's entering class became available. Can't get one (fee waiver) earlier by asking apparently.

This is weird, I requested one last week and haven't heard anything back yet! WUSTL needs to decide how they want to deal with fee waivers and stick to it.LSATfromNC wrote:I requested one from WUSTL and it was granted a couple of weeks ago.poprox wrote:WUSTL said they'd start sending them out when their application for next Fall's entering class became available. It took them 7 days to get back to me.missvik218 wrote:This is weird, I requested one last week and haven't heard anything back yet! Oh ok, well I guess I'm still within a reasonable time frame ... I don't really expect them to grant me one, my numbers are a little low for them right now.LSATfromNC wrote:It took them 7 days to get back to me.missvik218 wrote:This is weird, I requested one last week and haven't heard anything back yet! wth? 173 and good gpa, but they won't give me one? I'm assuming that since they granted you one upon request, their answer to my request was them blowing me off. Do you mind sharing your numbers, or approx. numbers?LSATfromNC wrote:I requested one from WUSTL and it was granted a couple of weeks ago.poprox wrote:WUSTL said they'd start sending them out when their application for next Fall's entering class became available. Numbers in profile. My guess is that I didn't get it based off my numbers since they turned you down. Maybe I hit them up right before a change in policy. Either way, thank you WUSTL!poprox wrote:wth? 173 and good gpa, but they won't give me one? I don't think there is YP for fee waivers.

The only way YP relates to fee waivers is to encourage the schools to give more of them out.Dwaterman86 wrote:I don't think there is YP for fee waivers.

OK I guess give more of them out and then remember to decline them.Helmholtz wrote:The only way YP relates to fee waivers is to encourage the schools to give more of them out.Dwaterman86 wrote:I don't think there is YP for fee waivers.

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I asked WUSTL and got one within an hour. Dropped 168, planning on retaking, and AA male in the email though
What's with everyone else though? Cornell said theyll be sending them out later and if I get one I get one... same with Duke, and ND said some nonsense about filling out this need-based aid form.
Anyone have any luck with these schools?

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
Okay so a week or so ago I emailed Michigan asking for a (merit) fee waiver and they granted it to me almost instantly (next business day). Today, I received a package from Michigan with a viewbook and a couple standard form letters.
I am curious about how they do these; because it appears that mine was personalized (it has the word "love" underline in blue pen, and a note saying that "they love to get Chicago grads" ). I realize that they could do this for any given applicant though. What are other people's experience with this? Have a lot of people got stuff that says they love to get [your school]?

My numbers are sub-par (see profile) and I have been able to e-mail and get waivers from Boston, Washington St. Louis, Wiliam and Mary, Illinois and a fat maybe from Notre Dame. So if my numbers can get them to bite, they are doing something to keep high numbers away maybe realize that no matter what they offer someone with a 173, you won't attend. Do not see why they would stiff those with good numbers, but I am not an adcom.

Impressive GPA from top UG business program and a LSAT that's in the ranges of all of those schools... fee waivers are not surprising.Padimud wrote:My numbers are sub-par (see profile) and I have been able to e-mail and get waivers from Boston, Washington St. Louis, Wiliam and Mary, Illinois and a fat maybe from Notre Dame.
